Valley Caregiver Resource Center

Valley CRC offers a full compliment of family services designed to assist relatives and others who are adults with brain disorders. Specialized information and referral, family consultations and care planning, short-term counseling, legal and financial consultation, respite care, education, professional training, and support groups.

Valley Medical Transportation

Provides assistance to people who are unable to get in and out of a private vehicle for doctor appointments.

Valley Oak SPCA

Animal shelter for stray dogs and cats, animal control, low-cost spayed and neuter program, and licensing agency for the cities of Visalia and Dinuba.

Victim Offender Reconciliation Program

To provide the opportunity for offenders to make things right with victims through the restorative justice process whereby responsibility, restoration, and reconciliation are achieved.

Victim Witness Assistance Center

The program has offices in Visalia and Porterville, and services the courts counrtywide. The victim's center can assist victims in applying for assistance from Califronia Victim and Goverment Claims Board in Sacramento. Losses that covered include: medical, counseling, assistance with funeral/burial expensses.

Victims of Domestic Violence Hotline

Provides temporary shelter for women and children, food, clothing, and counseling. Male victims of domestic violence are provided alternative emergency shelter.

Villa Manor Care Center

Nursing home provides hospice and respite care. 

Vineyard Christian Fellowhip

Vineyards - Provides food and clothing to families and individuals in need. Clients can be assisted once a month with food. Vineyards provides hot showers for the homeless on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Visalia Emergency Aid

Canned food, frozen fruit products, powdered milk, baby food, fresh fruit and other basic food donations are gladly accepted. Household dispensary items such as toilet paper and diapers are welcome. Donations may be dropped off at our Food Pantry Monday through Friday.

Thanksgiving events:
Food baskets - clients must have children or be seniors over the age of 65. Clients must take a utility bill, a rent or mortgage receipt, and income verification to apply for the food basket givaway.

Visalia YMCA

The YMCA offers high quality youth and family programs to meet the demands of our ever-growing, ever-changing community.  The Y believes that every child should be able to participate in youth sports, have a safe place to play and learn after school, and experience the fun of camp.  They also believe that all teens should have an opportunity to participate in programs that keep them safe, teach them to make sound choices, and guide them in their journey to becoming responsible and successful adults.  Every program is provided at no cost or at a low cost with an extensive scholarship program. 
Star Program
Special Teen Afternoon Recreation Program provides safe and appropriate recreation and after-school care for developmentally disabled teens.
Preschool and Childcare
Has 14 state-licensed chidcare centers and 3 
preschools in Tulare County, and after school recreation programs in Woodlake and Farmersville.  From art and music, to sports 
and field trips, the YMCA incorporates 
character development in every activity, 
building a strong foundation for children to 
become better students and responsible adults.
Safe Exchange
The first program of its kind in Tulare County, YMCA Safe Exchange program provides services to families subject to shared custody arrangements.  This special program provides a safe, neutral envionment for children to transition between custodial parents.

VIAH is a nonprofit corporation established for the sole purpose of providing affordable housing in the City of Visalia.  VIAH focuses its homes to families that can not afford to purchase a home in the local marketplace.
