Get to Know Your United Way

“Get to Know Your United Way” is a special monthly social media series featuring short, engaging posts that introduce our followers to various United Way programs.  In April, we will be highlighting our Workplace Giving Campaigns.

Workplace Giving Campaigns — What, Why, Who

What Are Workplace Campaigns?

Workplace Campaigns are employee‑driven giving efforts hosted by businesses, schools, public agencies, and community organizations. These campaigns raise funds and awareness for pressing needs in Tulare County while boosting team morale and offering simple ways to give back. Every dollar raised stays local.

Why They Matter

Workplace Campaigns make giving easy—through payroll deductions, drives, volunteerism, and special events—and help organizations meet their social responsibility goals. They also provide critical, community‑driven support for local programs and services.

Who Participates?

Participants include:

  • Local businesses and corporations

  • Public agencies

  • Schools and districts

  • Healthcare partners

  • Small and mid‑size employers

Teams also often participate in hands‑on drives such as backpack collections, coat drives, or Holiday Heroes events.

If your organization is interested in starting a Workplace Campaign, we’d love to connect!

United Way Affiliates

This April, United Way of Tulare County is excited to launch a new month‑long social media series highlighting our affiliates. Throughout the month, we’ll spotlight the network of United Way affiliates that strengthen communities across the region while also highlighting the unique role we play right here in Tulare County.

Our goal is to help our community better understand how United Way works at both the local and affiliate levels to support families, empower nonprofits, and drive meaningful change.

Each post will highlight:

  • A different United Way affiliate and what makes it unique

  • Connections between affiliate initiatives and our community’s needs

  • Quick facts, stories, graphics, and behind‑the‑scenes insights

This series gives our followers a broader view of the United Way network while also deepening understanding of our role right here at home in Tulare County.
